Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

At Noor E Dua, we receive many questions from readers about duas, faith, and spiritual guidance. Below are some of the most common ones, answered with references from Qur’an and Sunnah.

1. Does dua really bring peace in difficult times?

Yes, dua brings peace by connecting the heart directly with Allah (SWT). It helps a believer unload worries, strengthens faith, and calms the soul during hardships. Allah says in the Qur’an: “Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest” (Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:28).

2. What are the best times to make dua?

Some of the best times include: • The last third of the night (Tahajjud) • Between the Adhan and Iqamah • While fasting, especially before Iftar • During Sujood (prostration) • On Fridays after Asr prayer These moments are blessed and strongly recommended in Hadith.

3. Can I make dua in my own language?

Yes, you can make dua in your own language. While Arabic is recommended for Qur’anic duas, Allah (SWT) understands all languages and knows what is in your heart.

4. Do I need wudu to make dua?

It is not obligatory to be in wudu to make dua. However, being in wudu is recommended and increases the reward. For certain supplications like reading Qur’an, wudu is required.

5. How can I stay consistent with dua?

To stay consistent, set aside fixed times daily (after salah or before sleeping), write down personal duas, and remember that persistence is beloved to Allah. The Prophet ﷺ said: “The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are consistent, even if they are small.” (Sahih al-Bukhari).
